How to Use the Monthly Panchang Calendar in Pandit Ji
The Calendar tab gives you a month-at-a-glance view of tithis, ekadashi dates, and festival markers. Here's how to read it and navigate to any day's full panchang.
The Calendar tab in Pandit Ji shows a full monthly grid where each day is annotated with its lunar date (tithi), making it easy to plan around fasting days, ekadashis, and upcoming festivals at a glance — without opening each day individually.
Reading the Calendar Grid
Each cell in the monthly grid shows the day's tithi number and the lunar masa it falls in. Ekadashi dates are labelled with their traditional name (e.g., Nirjala Ekadashi, Devshayani Ekadashi) so fasting days are immediately visible without counting. Festival days are highlighted.
Tapping a Day
Tap any day cell to open that day's full panchang — tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, sunrise/sunset, Rahu Kaal, Abhijit Muhurat, and Choghadiya grid — all calculated for your saved location. This is the same panchang you'd see on the Today screen if you navigated to that date.
Navigating Between Months
Tap the arrow buttons on either side of the month header to move forward or back one month. The calendar is pre-calculated for the full year, so navigation is instant.
Ayanamsha and Tradition Settings
Tithi calculations in the calendar follow your Calendar Tradition setting (Amanta / Purnimanta) and your chosen Ayanamsha (Lahiri by default). If you're seeing different ekadashi dates than your traditional almanac, check Settings → Calendar Tradition to ensure the right masa system is selected.
Pro vs Free
The monthly calendar is available to all users. Pro subscribers see the full panchang detail when tapping a day without ads; free users see an ad banner below the day detail.
Pandit Ji gives you a live panchang, personal guidance from your birth chart, and muhurat timing — calculated for your exact location.
