In brief: Use the app for personal, non-commercial, spiritual purposes. Don't misuse it. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Content is provided for informational and spiritual purposes — not as professional advice.

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Pandit Ji mobile application (“the App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Effective date: April 12, 2026.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and the developers of Pandit Ji (“we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms apply to all users of the App, including free and Pro subscribers.

2. Use of the App

Pandit Ji is designed for personal, non-commercial, spiritual, and informational use. You may use the App to:

  • View daily panchang information including tithi, nakshatra, muhurat, and related data
  • Receive AI-generated horoscope and guidance text for personal reflection
  • Subscribe to calendar feeds for personal use in your calendar applications
  • Track Hindu festivals and observances relevant to your tradition

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
  • Share your generated calendar feed URL publicly or distribute it in a way that circumvents the subscription model
  • Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-extract panchang data from the App or its backend services
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks

3. Subscriptions and Purchases

Pandit Ji offers a free tier supported by advertisements, and a Pro subscription that removes ads and unlocks additional features.

  • Billing: Subscriptions are billed through your App Store or Google Play account according to the pricing displayed at the time of purchase.
  • Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • Cancellation: You can cancel at any time through your device's subscription management settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then.
  • Refunds: All purchases are subject to the refund policies of Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not process refunds directly.
  • Price changes: We may change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

4. AI-Generated Content

Pandit Ji uses AI to generate daily horoscope and guidance text. This content is provided for spiritual reflection and entertainment purposes only. It does not constitute professional advice of any kind — medical, financial, legal, or otherwise. We make no guarantee as to the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content for any specific purpose.

5. Panchang Accuracy

Panchang calculations in the App are based on established astronomical algorithms and are localised to your provided coordinates. While we strive for accuracy, minor variations from other sources may occur due to differences in calculation methods, ayanamsha choice, or horizon type. We recommend consulting a qualified jyotishi for critical ceremonial or muhurat decisions.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding within the App — including but not limited to the Pandit Ji name, logo, icons, and user interface — are the exclusive property of the App's developers and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. No other rights are granted.

7. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or any reliance placed on panchang or horoscope information provided by the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your country of residence. We operate globally and aim to comply with applicable laws in all jurisdictions where the App is available. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
