Pandit Ji's home screen and lock screen widgets keep you connected to the panchang without opening the app. Widgets are a Pro feature — upgrade first, then tap the Widgets option in Settings to see step-by-step instructions for adding them. The setup takes about two minutes.

Adding a Home Screen Widget (iOS)

  1. Long-press any empty area on your iPhone home screen until icons start wiggling.
  2. Tap the "+" button in the top-left corner to open the widget gallery.
  3. Scroll down or search for "Pandit Ji."
  4. Swipe through the widget sizes: small (tithi + nakshatra at a glance), medium (adds yoga and current muhurat status), and large (full daily panchang summary).
  5. Tap "Add Widget" on the size you want, then drag it to your preferred position.
  6. Tap "Done" in the top right to save.

Lock Screen Widgets (iOS 16+)

  1. Long-press your lock screen to enter customization mode.
  2. Tap "Customize," then tap the lock screen (not the notification area).
  3. Tap one of the widget slots below the time.
  4. Scroll to find Pandit Ji and select your preferred lock screen widget style — circular (tithi only), rectangular (tithi + nakshatra), or inline.
  5. Tap outside the widget area, then tap "Done."

Apple Watch Complications

Pandit Ji supports four Apple Watch complication styles:

To add: on your Apple Watch, long-press the watch face → tap "Edit" → navigate to a complication slot → scroll to find Pandit Ji → select your preferred style.

Keeping Widgets Updated

Widgets update automatically at sunrise each day when new panchang data is calculated for your location. If a widget appears stale, open the Pandit Ji app briefly to trigger a refresh. Make sure Location Services is set to "Always" or "While Using" in Settings → Pandit Ji → Location for the most accurate widget updates.

Put this into practice

Pandit Ji gives you a live panchang, personal guidance from your birth chart, and muhurat timing — calculated for your exact location.
