Calendar Integration: How to Sync Your Panchang to Google Calendar or Apple Calendar

If you live and work by a calendar, having panchang data appear alongside your meetings and appointments is genuinely useful. Pandit Ji's Calendar Integration generates a personal webcal subscription feed — subscribe once, and your tithi, Rahu Kaal, muhurat blocks, and festivals appear in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or any calendar app that supports webcal feeds. This is a Pro feature.

Setting It Up

1. Go to Settings → Calendar Integration.
2. You'll see a "Subscribe to Calendar" button. On iOS, tapping it opens the URL directly in the Calendar app with a subscription prompt. On Android, the webcal URL is copied to your clipboard — paste it into Google Calendar's "Other calendars → From URL" field.
3. Confirm the subscription. Your panchang data will start appearing in your calendar within a few minutes.

What Gets Synced

The feed has four independent content toggles — go to Settings → Calendar Integration → Manage Feeds to control each one:

• Daily Timings (free) — Creates an all-day event each day showing the active tithi, nakshatra, and yoga. The event title makes it instantly visible in week view: e.g., "Tritiya · Rohini · Saubhagya".
• Muhurat Blocks (free) — Adds timed events for Rahu Kaal, Gulika Kaal, Yamaganda Kaal, and Abhijit Muhurat each day. These appear as blocks in your calendar so you can see at a glance when to avoid scheduling important calls or meetings.
• Festivals & Observances (Pro) — Adds all major Hindu festivals as all-day calendar events, with the festival name and brief significance in the event notes.
• ISKCON Ekadashi (Pro) — Adds Ekadashi fasting dates and Parana (fast-breaking) times calculated per the Gaudiya Vaishnava calendar. Particularly useful for ISKCON devotees who need the correct Ekadashi date, which can differ from the Smartha date.

Auto-Updates

Unlike manually added calendar events, the webcal subscription refreshes automatically. When you update your location in Pandit Ji, the feed regenerates with the new location's sunrise times. Festival data updates when new astronomical calculations are published. You don't need to re-subscribe or take any action — the updates propagate to your calendar on its next sync cycle (typically within 24 hours for most calendar apps).

Location and Privacy

The feed is generated server-side using your saved location coordinates. The feed URL is unique to your account — treat it like a password and don't share it. If you ever want to revoke access, you can generate a new feed URL from the Calendar Integration screen, which invalidates the old one.
